Facts About Independence Day, 4th of July
The first Independence Day on July 8, 1776 took place in Philadelphia. The White House celebrated  Independence Day for the first time in 1804. 56 people signed  the Declaration of Independence, with Thomas Jefferson writing the majority of it.  The Fourth of July has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941.
Fun Facts About The Month of July
*  The average temperature in Prescott in July is a beautiful 89 degrees.
*  Beginning in 2008, June 15 was established as the first day of monsoon, and September 30 as the last day.
