This Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s remember our veterans and their families. The United States Armed Forces consists of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Veterans Day is an official United States holiday that honors military veterans and is celebrated every year on November 11th. It is a day to honor all the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day was initially called Armistice Day, and it was created to mark the end of World War I. In 1954, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day to honor all American veterans, not just those who served in World War I. However, we should honor these heroes every day. Especially this Thanksgiving and Christmas, take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans!
